Pretty much everywhere you go in "San Fran", turn your head and you will see some kind of art. This mural was stunning in the amount of details and the floating/flying books definitely added that little bit more.

Alcatraz

Located 2Km (1.25 miles) offshore of San Francisco, this tiny, world renowned island has so much history that spending a full day there would not be enough to cover it all. Yep, we did it! I know very cliche

This was the first official food stop of our American trip! Had to stop and go for and In-N-Out burger, Had not had one for years! To be honest, I was a bit disappointed, maybe because I had such high expectations... Doesn't matter, next time I will do it all over again.

And here goes the first bite!

This is my other (best) half first ever bite in the world's famous Cheeseburger. Her facial expression says it all

Riding Low-Style

When we decided to walk from the Pier to the Golden Gate Bridge, the nice, easy but long walk took us by this concentration of "low riders". There were so many different and amazingly well build cars! Like the one on the above photo, most of them were in a position I had never seen any car before that day.

Low and Loud!

Having a car with great looks is one thing, but having the sound system to match is way better. People can't help themselves... their feet, legs and arms just start moving on the beats of typical west coast vibes

When they say "low" they mean really low!

Finally, here it is.

Most probably, one of the most famous bridges in the world. The GoldenGate Bridge is such a marvellous piece of engineering! Every bolt, cable and beam has been so carefully designed and the ongoing maintenance ensures that it never gets old. Be aware though, unless it is very warm, don't be fooled by the pleasant breeze of air when you walk towards the bridge, a proper wind stopping jacket is a must.

A different perspective

How many photos of this bridge been taken over the years, thousands, millions maybe billions... This was one of my objectives during this trip was to take photos of popular landmarks in a different way... and I think I achieved it with this photo. What do you think?

Foggy morning

After walking over 20Kms on the first day, we decided to head off to another side of the San Francisco. Even though there were no signs of change in weather, seeing the Golden Gate Bridge with a nice, think layer of fog completely changed it

Palace of Fine Arts

Dating back from 1915 Panama Pacific Exposition, The Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Do you have an impression of "Déjà Vu"... so did I. This is most probably due to the fact that it has been used in various scenes of Blockbuster movies such as "The Rock" with Nicolas Cage and Sean Connery. Nowadays, it is hosts art exhibitions and performances. Make sure to make a stop there and you never know which celebrity you may bump into... "Chinese violin" or "Chinese two-string fiddle" is sound you get accustomed when you spend your days in Chinatown.

Steep hills or poorly designed house?

Everybody knows that San Francisco is build on a very steep hills and streets. I think that looking at a house from this perspective explains it much better than any mathematical equation can.

If you have a seet tooth and are looking for a delicious bakery, the Eastern Bakery is located on 720 Grant Avenue in San Francisco.

Take the scenic way and travel method... EV's (Electrical Vehicles) are very popular. even Segways

The top is the best.

I would suggest to walk up Lombard street rather than down. Why, it is a nice walk up those stairs and once you get on the top, turn around and look at that beautiful view over San Fran
